The studio
From studio to space
The studio sits by the water, and the water gets in — as color, as rhythm, as the patience it takes to let a layer dry. Works are made flat on the floor and upright on the wall, often both, and they leave the studio only when they can hold a room on their own.

- Raw pigmentfor depth that sits inside the layer, not on it

02MATERIAL
Material
Heavy-body acrylic, plaster, raw pigment, marble dust and leaf — chosen for how they hold light and remember touch.
03MOVEMENT
Movement
Knife and body move together. Gesture is quick; decisions are slow. The canvas is often on the floor.
04LAYER
Layer
Surfaces are built, scraped back and rebuilt until they carry their own history — like a shoreline after weather.
05FINISH
Finish
The work rests. Edges are wrapped, the surface sealed, and the piece is ready to change a room.
